LORAC Spring Collection 2015 / Unzipped Gold / Unzipped Cheek Palette and Alter Ego Lipstick SET

Hey everyone. So Lorac has launched their spring 2015 collection and I am super excited to talk to you about it. First of all I want to let you know that I absolutely adore Lorac eyeshadows.  I think they are very pigmented, soft and blend easily. They do have fall outs but so do every other eyeshadows.

I am going to start with an eyeshadow palette since I have already mentioned how much I love those. So this spring Lorac launched an addition to their Unzipped palette which is called Unzipped Gold. Forgot to mentioned that the theme of the collection is "Lorac Goes Gold", that is why there are so many different shades of gold in collection.

The palette is white and slightly shines when the light hits it. I think it will be harder to clean than the original Unzipped which is yellow and glossy.

As I mentioned Unzipped Gold has different beautiful shades of gold, couple transition shades and couple shades that will be good to dippen out the eye look. The pigmentation is on point! The shimmery shades are basically pressed pigments and have gorgeous metallic finish. There are ton of fall outs that's why it might be easy if you apply them with a brush like the one from Naked palette by Urban Decay or with your fingers. The only shade that I didn't like pigmentation wise is Unafraid. I had such a hard time layering it on top of the other shimmery-metallic shades. It was a mess.

The palette has four matte colors and six shimmer-metallic. Of course it has a small size of Behind the Scenes eye primer as all the other Lorac palettes do. It retails a little but higher than the original Unzipped palette which is 42$ on Ulta's website : Unzipped Gold Palette

The collection didn't only have the eyeshadow palette. There are blush palette, lipsticks, concealers and powders. The next item I got was Unzipped Cheek palette & Alter Ego lipstick Set. I thought the palette was going to be small therefore with small blushes. But I was happily surprised. The size of the blushes is quite decent.

There are two matte shades - mauvy and bright pink, one satin-reddish brown and one with shimmer-glitter - peach.  They are pigmented and almost don't have fall outs but not all shades are suitable for my skin tone. Like the brown shade that I can't really use because it's neither a bronzer nor contour shade. Hopefully I will be able to use bright pink shade with a very light hand. I didn't get to wear the blush for long enough to see if it stays for long time, but in general - I do like the palette.

With the blush palette comes Alter Ego lipstick in the color Girl Next Door. It is quite neutral every day shade but it's more coral than pink, which I like and I don't. It has nice vanilla scent just like MAC lipsticks do. The finish is matte and the lipstick goes into  all my fine lines which is not attractive at all. That is why I have to use gloss over the lipstick. For the price which is $16 (it is free in the set) I would probably prefer MAC matte lipsticks but there is really not much difference between them. I am just gonna say it didn't wow me. The set on Ulta's web site is $30 and I want to say it is limited edition but I'm not sure.

I hope you liked this small review of the products that I got from Lorac's new collection. Thank you so much for your time.

Petit Vour BOX Review > January 2015

Hey guys!! So I think it's about time for me to sit down and share my thoughts with you on January Petit Vour box. If you don't know Petit Vour is a monthly subscription on samples and full products for $15. What special about this service is that all their products are natural, organic, cruelty free and vegan.  I love how natural that box is.

So January's theme of the box is "The new Luxury" due to New Year of course! Inside there were four products . One of them is a sample and other three are full products. Let's talk about each one of them.

The first item is 100% pure french lavender hand buttercream. I was super excited to see that it was from 100% pure because I have heard so many good reviews about that company. Obviously the hand cream has a strong lavender scent but it doesn't bother me. I actually like it. It has unusual whipped texture. Leaves slightly oily residue but that goes away shortly after applying. The ingredients are great- oils, oils and more oils. Unfortunately moisturization wasn't good enough for me. My dry hands constantly needed more so I felt like the hand cream wasn't working. I had to reapply cream several times during a day otherwise my skin looked dry and cracked. This product is not my favourite, I have had creams doing a better job. Although, if your hands are not super dry then you might like it. This hand cream retails for $8.

The next product is Evolvh Smart Start Leave in Conditioner. I am always sceptical about leave in hair conditioners but this one blew my mind! It is that great! It contains bunch of oils that are good for your hair. It made my hair so shiny and silky and smooth. The bottle has a very fine mist so your hair are not getting soaked wet. I am absolutely in love with this product. It has clean flowery scent and I actually like it on my hair when normally I am very picky with the scents. The full size costs $26, this travel size is $8.

Moving on to the other full size products : the first one is RawSkinCeutical Rose Creme Cheek Color. Basically it's a cream blush with beautiful natural mauvy color. At the beginning
I didn't like the color because I thought it won't suit my complexion, but when I actually tried it, it looked stunning. It's perfect in every meaning. Does not make my skin breakout, easy to apply, long lasting, has powder finish, dries really fast so you have to work quick with it. I  adore this product. It retails for $15.

And finally Modern Minerals Shimmer Eyeshadow in En Pointe which was customly made for Petit Vour subscribers. The eyeshadow has beautiful duo chrome rosy-blue color. It is so romantic, feminine and pretty. You can wear it easily every day. The price of this product is $12.50.

To sum up: for $15 you get $43.50 value of products. I absolutely love January Petit vour box. It's definitely a hit for me.
All mentioned products you can find on the petit vour web site as well as to learn more about subscription:
